We left Kilimanjaro International Airport really early in the morning, & flew to the hot, humid, tropical island of Zanzibar (airport pictured above).....
Our next stop was the bustling, vibrant city of Dar es Salaam ..... here we are above, coming in to land
After a long (delayed !) stopover in Dar es Salaam, we finally left for Johannesburg, waving goodbye to Tanzania as she became smaller and smaller below us .........We're here ! My daughter and I arrived safely in Johannesburg on Monday afternoon ..... Johannesburg is just the same as ever .... busy, vibey and at this time of the year - very cold (today's maximum temperature is 16'C). We've been shopping, eating out, catching up, having haircuts, visiting the dentist ... and .... well, just enjoying our time in the 'big city' and most of all, being with my parents ! (Can't wait for my husband to join us next week !)
I'll catch up again soon with news from South Africa, and a recipe or two, of course ..... you won't BELIEVE the great variety of products available here ... so inspiring !
